As spring settles in and patio season starts to peek through, there’s no better way to enjoy the sunshine than with a walkable, budget friendly food crawl down Calgary’s 4th Street. Feast on Fourth is back and this time, it’s happening twice a year, with the first edition running from April 23 to 27.

Adi and I made a whole date day out of it, hopping from spot to spot and trying as many dishes as we could. It was fun, relaxed, and honestly, a delicious way to reconnect with each other and the city. There’s something special about grabbing a bite, strolling in the sun, and knowing everything you try is only $10. Whether you're planning a date day, friend catch up, or solo foodie adventure, this is the festival to check out.
What is Feast on Fourth?

Feast on Fourth is Calgary’s only $10 food festival where a curated lineup of restaurants along 4th Street SW serve up exclusive, seasonal dishes for just ten dollars. The goal is simple — make it easy for Calgarians to experience a wide variety of local flavours without spending a fortune. Whether you want to dine in, grab takeout, or do a full on food crawl, it’s a fun and approachable way to support local restaurants.
Because of popular demand, the event now happens twice a year — once in April and again in September. It’s designed to be accessible, walkable, and deliciously diverse, with dishes that range from comfort food classics to bold new creations.

Tips for a Great Experience
Start early if you want to avoid the evening crowds. While takeout is always an option, part of the fun is soaking in the street’s vibe, especially if the sun is out and patios are open. Many restaurants don’t require reservations, but it never hurts to call ahead for dine in spots like Vin Room or Joyce on 4th. Bring comfy shoes and maybe even a friend to split dishes with so you can try more in one go.
We recommend planning out your top picks beforehand, there’s so much variety that it’s easy to get overwhelmed in the best way. And don’t forget to snap photos, support your favourites online, and tag @WanderingInYYC if you go.
