You don’t have to be into riding horses to enjoy watching some world-class show jumping at Spruce Meadow! This premier equestrian facility is conveniently located just at the southern edge of the city and hosts several top-tier show jumping tournaments throughout the year.
The bigger tournaments are ticketed and accompanied by other events to entertain the whole family. It’s an Epic Weekend every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the tournaments in June and July. The helicopters in our collection deserve a moment to shine. This year we’re celebrating all things helicopter at the end of June. Thanks to support from Nav Canada, LR Helicopters will be offering helicopter city tours. These are a great way to get a different view of Calgary, and explore the city from this vantage point for the first time. Tickets for the tours are $95 each, and will be available first come first serve at the event. This experience will be weather dependant.
We will also have our Sikorsky Dragonfly open for visitors to sit inside. Volunteers and expert staff will be stationed at the helicopters in our collection to tell you about these aircraft and the pilots who flew them. We’ll also have a helicopter themed craft that you can build and then take home.
Barney’s Adventure Park – Dino Day

This year, Barney’s Adventure Park is announcing Dino Day, a new event offering free admission to any guests dressed up as a dinosaur.
Dino Day will offer free entry to anyone wearing a dinosaur costume from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Guests who prefer not to dress up are still welcome to attend, with regular admission rates in effect.
Located less than two hours from Calgary in the scenic Drumheller Valley, Barney’s Adventure Park offers unique, interactive experiences for kids of all ages. Guests can explore attractions such as an animatronic dinosaur walk, an industrial-themed racetrack and ropes course, a water balloon battle attraction and a barnyard area with a petting zoo and pig races.
Until June 28, 2025, Barney’s is open on weekends only, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As of June 28, 2025, it will be open daily throughout the summer.
