Code Club

Spark your child's interest in technology at Fish Creek and Saddletowne Library from Mar 14-Apr 18 and Mar 11-Apr 15, respectively. It’s an ideal playground for budding coders aged 10-12.

Calgary 25K Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Show

This Easter long weekend, the ultimate Easter Egg Hunt awaits your little ones, boasting an impressive treasure trove of 25,000 eggs filled with candies and treats. Perfect for children aged 2 to 12, this event offers a spirited adventure at no cost for kids 12 and under.


The hunts are thoughtfully organized by age groups and scheduled at different times to ensure every child gets a fair chance at the fun. While walk-ins are welcomed on the day of the event, pre-registering online is advisable due to the anticipated high turnout, ensuring there are enough goodies for every participant.


Adding to the Easter festivities, attendees will have the delightful opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny and snap memorable photos with the bunny's extended family. Beyond the hunt, the event is packed with engaging activities including games, crafts for children, races, and picnic pavilions, not to mention a vibrant Spring Show. Photography for Youth:

Calling all young photographers! Falconridge Community Association offers a chance from Mar 5 - Apr 23 to learn, exhibit, and connect. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to contribute to the community and earn some extra hours.


Art and Creative Skills Collective is offering a free and interactive program for youth. This program offers youth an opportunity to:

- Learn photography and storytelling

Showcase their work at a Photo Exhibition

- Meet like-minded people

- Make a community impact


During this 8-week program, youth will learn about:

- Camera controls and photography techniques

- Shot sizes and angles

- Editing

- Visual storytelling

 



Flipbook Animation: Unleash your child’s creativity at Village Square Library on March 10 by diving into the basics of animation with their very own flipbook. Remember, registration is key!




 


Reading With Royalty: Experience storytime like never before with local drag queens, kings, and monarchs at Country Hills and Louise Riley Libraries on March 7 and 15. Dressing up is all part of the fun!


 

Story Time - Our Skin: A First Conversation About Racism

Join us at 10am for a reading of Our Skin: A First Conversation About Race written by Megan Madison and Jessica Ralli and illustrated by Isabel Roxas.


We will be opening the store at 9:45am to allow everyone to settle in for the story! After the story, stay with us to take part in some colouring with Mudpuppy's We Are Colourful collection of crayons and pencil crayons.


About the Book: Based on the research that race, gender, consent, and body positivity should be discussed with toddlers on up, this read-aloud board book series offers adults the opportunity to begin important conversations with young children in an informed, safe, and supported way.

 



Kids Club: Friendship Bracelets: Michael’s Stores invites kids on March 9 to craft their unique friendship bracelets, a perfect keepsake from a fun day out.
