A First Look at the New Midway Foods (Calgary Stampede Series)

The countdown is on, the 2025 Calgary Stampede is just 50 days away, and the new Midway food list has officially dropped!

This year’s menu is wild, bold, and full of big flavours, with over 50 new creations making their way to the Stampede grounds from July 4–13.

Adi and I had a chance to check out the Midway food preview, and while we were excited to dig in, the majority of dishes this year were pork-based, so unfortunately, we didn’t get to sample much. But we did try the Lava Flow Lemonade, and it absolutely hit the spot. Sweet, tropical, and so refreshing, it's one drink we’ll be going back for more than once!

Even though we couldn’t try the full spread, we’re seriously intrigued by the lineup. From Spam-pede Bao (yes, that’s a real name!) to Fiery Dill Coke, Twisted Pickles, and even Mopane Worm Poutine, this year’s offerings are all about pushing flavour boundaries.

There's also a mix of reimagined comfort food like Lobster Tornado Rolls, Hot Chicken Mac, and Deep-Fried Cinnamon Buns that are sure to please the crowd.

Whether you're an adventurous eater or sticking to the classics (hello, mini donuts), the Midway has something for every craving.
